Born in Mar del Plata (1936). Doctor in medicine (University of Buenos Aires), Doctor in psychology (University of Paris). Member of the International Center of Genetic Epistemology (University of Geneva, prof. Jean Piaget), associate director of the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, Laboratory of Experimental and Comparative Psychology (University of Paris, prof. Paul Fraisse), visiting scholar at Harvard (Graduate School of Education). Guggenheim, Fulbright and Eisenhower Fellow and National Award in Psychology and Education of Argentina. Member of the National Academy of Education. Robert F. Kennedy Visiting Professor at Harvard University (2002-2003). Member of The Ponifical Academy of Sciences (2002-).

Has written more than 50 scientific papers and several books, among them El Pensamiento de Jean Piaget (1969), Piaget: Dictionnary of Terms (1973),Computación y aprendizaje especial (1986), with Percival J. Denham: Discomunicaciones. Computación y niños sordos (1989), La Educación digital (1997), Aprender hoy: Una colección de ideas (2003). Is the author of Half a Brain is enough (2002).

He is a pioneer in the field of computers in education in Argentina and Brazil. As partner of Battro & Denham he is an international consultant in education. He is now active in the use of digital technologies in the development of the neurocognitive potential.
