X. NEW INSTRUMENTS OF THOUGHT
Music for all
There are many digital tools that have been applied to
music, all of which can be used in the process of creating
original work. They help lead to a better understanding of
individual components, highlight themes and variations,
transpose from one chord to another. Also thanks to the
multiplicity of sounds that can be generated any combination
of tones, construction of series, melodies and rhythms is
very easily achieved. These digital tools can be attached to
traditional or simulated musical instruments. Musical
education is important at any age and there will always be
an interesting digital instrument to learn and use to create
sounds and silences, although we will need skilled music
teachers to teach in this digital environment.
This run through digital tools of a most varied nature is
necessarily schematic and incomplete, but we hope it will be
useful to those entering the digital environment, which as
in the case of music requires becoming attuned to the
every-changing polyphony of modern technology at the service
of education.
